Suffering from pityriasis rosea

i have pityriasis rosea for about 8 weeks now. the rash has stopped spreading, but has dried out and has left me with a "leathery" feel on my skin. It's cracking and peeling, but also is tight and sore. It sort of feels like a bad sunburn. Is this normal when the rash starts to diminish?

I had pityriasis rosea and it went away. It took a long time and I was miserable, but it is completely gone now aside from a few scars. It really stressed me out and stress made it worse, but it is gone now and I am happy.

ya its quite normal for the rash to subside with scaling and bit of light colored skin, u neednt worry if the earlier diagnosis was correct as it is a self limmiting thing, thou u cud send in ur lesional pics for confirmation on dr.resham@gmail.com.
till then just apply emmolients, like nivea cream.

Apply Caladryl lotion, it wil soothe it. Also get a repeat check done with your treating doctor. He/she will tell you if anything is wrong.

I am a 28 year old male. I was diagnosed with pityriasis rosea last year. I ve had the rash for over three years now. It s not supposed to last this long. What else could it be? I never noticed a herald patch. It started out with mild patching that has progressively become worse. It is mainly on my arms, concentrated at the elbows. Isolated patches have appeared on my chest , and possibly my back. Does this sound like pityriasis rosea? Maybe chronic pityriasis lichenoides?

I have a big black/brown circle shape on my back but it don t hurt me in any way though. and there is also white patch like thing starting from from my back right shoulder covering my right arm and on my right chest. my right hand is not completely affected by it but it looks strange as some part of it is normal skin colour and some is white. its kind of mix and hardly noticeable from some distance. I did some research on Google and I m confused what it is and as far as i think its pityriasis-versicolor but I m no doctor so I m not sure. I didn t had this since my birth but its on body for more than 15years if i can remember. I m 23years old right now and I m from south India where temperature is mostly hot and i usually sweat a lot even if i do a small work.
