Suffering from color blindness. Obstacle for admission into M-tech course?

I have completed by B.Tech in chemical engineering. Now, i have been selected for mtech. in chemical engineering at one of the IITs. Recently, i received a mail from IIT for submission of medical fitness certificate. In this regard, i would like to inform you that I have colour blindness . So, would it be an obstacle for admission into mtech.?( Though in mtech. brochure, no where it is written that colour blindness will be considered to be a disqualification. Only in UG admission brochure of IITs, I found that colour blind candidates are not allowed to take up mining and related courses only.) I am planning to pursue mtech followed by Phd and build a career in academics. Hopefully, colour blindness wont pose any problem for the career i am planning for. Please do reply and clarify my doubts.

colour blindness from birth has no permanent cure till date since its a genetic problem and gentic engineering is not possible at present..therefore no medicines also..some branches there is requirement of colour perception like colour of chemical, or calorimetry in which depending on the density of the colour..u have to assess the strength of reaction..since the people in IIT are very intelligent people known for their intelligence ..if they r refusing colourblind students then there would be some logic in their please accept the truth as it is..and face the challenge..and choose a career..there r so many other available..go in them..
some important advice- avoid designing, colour matching, while driving be careful of signals, don'nt marry a girl ..with family history of colour blindness, after marriage..don'nt keep male son..only female child should be preffered..
u r already very intelligent..which u have proved by qualifying the apply yr intelligence in other branch..with a challenge..nature has given u..and prove it that u r still the best..
