Suffering from RHD. I am pregnant. Getting fever, cough and loose motion. Suggest some safe medicine

hi i am rehana sultana (from kolkata,india), a patient of RHD (moderate ms and moderate mr) ongoing 36 weeks of pregnancy. Today since 4-5 hrs i am suffering from fever (99.1 degree fh) and cough is also there for last 3-4 days. There is a loose motion also (9-10 times in last 6 hrs). Any safe medication advise for the above problem during this pregnancy period?

Hi welcome to HCMForum. You are a patient of RHD and is compensated. So no problem
at present. as your pregnancy is nearing delevery you should be cautious about other
diseases. as fever and cough.
Your problem is what drugs can be used during pregnancy. At this stage you can
use any antibiotics but there arepregnancy catagiry drugs as Cefalexin and its group
of drugs. i hope you are satisfied with my reply. Thank you.

Dear Rehana,

Since you are a patient of RHD, these symptoms of fever and cough are ominous for you. And you have reached 36 weeks of pregnancy.

So in my opinion you need to consult your doctor and you may even need admission.

Meanwhile do steam inhalation for the cough.
Go to a hospital as soon as possible.
