Hi and thanks for using this panel.
I am so sorry about what you are experiencing and more so when the differences of 2 different doctors leave you even more confused.

Did the previous treatments for migraines relieve you of your headaches and nausea? If honestly you think there is no similarity between your symptoms and what your new doctor suggest as diagnosis, you have the right to see anothe doctor for a new consultation.

I am afraid you are getting more worried and having sleepless nights because of the confusion created rather than the illness itself. Headache and nausea are closest to migraine than causalgia.

If you don't believe in his diagnosis and the drugs, then there is no point taking them. It will be a mere waste of resources if psychologically you are not settled on its benefits. drop the file and open a new one, let a neutral doc consult you. At the end, ask if he thinks the other diagnosis could be a possibility.

Hope it helps.
All the best and wish you a speedy recovery
