Strain In Vocal Cord While Speaking. Endoscope Didn't Reach Larynx. Suggested Sophisticated Endoscope. Will This Hurt?
Hello!I am having problem while speaking. No problem in swallowing the food.my vocal cords strain while speaking.Saw the doctor and he advised me to go in for endoscope doubts there might be a node.Tried to do the endoscope thru the camera on the tip of a small steel rod and visuals on the small monitor. He couldnt reach at the larynx.so called me up to go in for the other sofisticated endoscope. does it hurt.Any side effects?
sophisticated endoscopes under good practioners are extremely safe with minimal complications which happen during a procedure like injury to teeth or nearby structures..some patient complain of throat pain due to laryngeal swelling caused by trauma..but these complications are manageable in good hospital set up..for nodule i suggest after exicsion to prevent recurrence avoid vocal abuse or misuse.
