Stiffness In Legs With Swelling, Purplish Red Bruises On Thighs Near Knees Spreading To Other Parts. Normal Blood Work, Ultrasound. Cause?

I have unexplained bruises on my thighs close to the knees. I have had blood work done and ultrasounds done on both legs. The doctor said the results of the blood work looked good and there isn t any blood clots. The bruises are spreading and are purple to red looking. I have stiffness in both legs and the left leg is swollen.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
You need to get your coagulation profile evaluated to know the cause for spontaneous bruises. The change in the color of bruises is a part of healing.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
