Soreness In Ankles, Feet And Knee. What Is The Reason? Is It Due To Aging?

I am a female 45 turning 46 this month. I am worried about something. I have been very active since childhood in dance and for 15 years in my youth/adult years I taught dance and also aerobic dance actively as my FT profession. After that it slided to a hobby - side profession as economic considerations and migration took me away from my major market. But now, 10 years later, I have decided to return to teaching again , as I find a lot of satisfaciton and joy in both teaching and performing. I am afraid my body is sore, esp my knees and ankles and feet. I teach daily when I dont have rehersals., Is this harmful? What sort of dangers am I incurring, what risks? I want to be able to teach until I no longer can, but also want to look at things realistically . I have never smoked so no other health issues. Thanks!

Hi,
I think at this age now teaching dances is not advisable.
Due to some osteoartheritis changes particularly on knee joints can create some problems.
It is advisable to avoid jolting movements at the joints.
There might be injury to ligaments, cartilages and maniscus of knee joints are unavoidable giving you big problem of knee joints in future.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and take his opinion.
After knowing the position of joints he will advice accordingly.
Ok and take care.
