Soft Protruding Lump That Is Sore And Warm To Touch Around The C-section Scar, Had Oozing On The Spot Of Lump. Remedy?
i had an emergency c-section 3 weeks ago. i felt fine almost straight away until around 5 days later when it started to weep in one small spot. it wasn t infected and the midwife wasn t worried. the weeping has stopped now but around 3 days ago i noticed the scar was really dark purple where it had been weeping from. i didn t think anything of it until i noticed it while getting out of the bath last night, its now a protruding soft lump which is sore to the touch. Im also experiencing a strange heating sensation either end of my wound.
Although at times the presentation you are experiencing can be considered normal, at times it is an indicator of pathology. There could be an abscess forming, or any other abnormality. It is best to be physically examined to assess the condition.
In the meantime, try not to touch the affected region, let the area be clean and dry and apply warm compresses to the region. Please schedule an appointment with your surgeon.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
