Superficial lumps beneath the skin can be lipomatous tumours or cystic swellings. it can be a sebaceous/ parasitic cyst or even a benign neurofibroma
. The best way to detect is to get an FNAC followed by a complete excision biopsy
if required. It need not be dangerous but definitely needs to be removed as may be complicated by enlargement/ infection or rupture as the case may be.
