Asthmatic Allergic Bronchitis ( A A B) is the disease in which there is ,breathlessness,runny nose,discharge from nose ( mucus),post nasal discharge,watery eyes,hoarseness of voice due to mucus plug. Main cause is allergy , allergens are mite ,dust,pollen ,fine powder,spray,smokes,fumes. Once allergy is there ,it is prone to develops infection as in your case. When infection is there , it starts mucus formation. It depends ,what is the nature of bacteria or virus which , producing mucus. In your case bacteria are responsible for mucus formation because disease is from one year. Color of mucus , consistency of mucus , can tell many things by physical examination by a physician. Foul smell to others is also a cause of concern. So BRONCHIECTASIS is the one disease in this type of condition. Lung abscess is another cause ( if a symptomatic than fever not present) So X ray,blood, examination will reveal disease. Physician will tell you many things, so consult. Good luck. Dr. HET
