Sick With Tonsillitis, Sleeplessness, Persistent Cough, Rib Area Pain, Cold Chills. On Antibiotics. Would I Get Better?
Hi, I have been sick with tonsillitis for over a week now and was prescribed antibiotics, I'm finding it very hard to get any sleep with the persistent coughing which Is now hurting my rib area... I still having cold chills where nothing I can do makes me feel warm, do you think I should go back to my gp or just continue taking the antibiotics

antibiotics usually dries up the sputum leading to cough and pain as you wrote
you need to add antiallergic tab like montelucast 10 mg bd
cpm and codeine combination syp night
bronchodilator syp morning and antacids
can use diclo as analgesic and antipyretic sos
when the need of antibiotic is over stop and continue these for 2 wk after stopping antibiotics
