Should Typhoid And Chickenpox Vaccines Be Given To A Child?

I have a 2 yrs daughter. The vaccination chart shows a vaccine for Typhoid at the age of 2. But her Pediatrician said the vaccine is protective only for 3 yrs and its not important, instead he asked me to give chicken pox vaccine (which is optional in the chart). what should i do?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
HI...greetings from Chennai. I suggest you give both the vaccines. Even if you have to repeat it 3 years once it is worth it to give chickenpox vaccine. I am a paediatrician and I have given my son all the vaccines including the optional ones. always remember - PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
