Should I Take Thyroid Medicines Life Long?

hi, I'm 37 yrs old n being diagnosed with hypothyrodism (6). the doctor has prescribed thyronorm 50mcg. I've delayed periods problem. no other symptoms. I weigh 58 kgs (before and after treatment). still 30 tablets are remaining. Do I need to take medication life long ?

After going through the information, I understand that you have hypothyroidism and on treatment for same, and I also understand that you are on treatment for last 70 days. will like to know a few things, then will in better position to answer. What was the initial TSH ? and What were the initial symptom when the test was done. One thing I will like to say, usually patient having hypothyroidism require life long therapy. And a TSH more 10 miu/l clinches the diagnosis.
