Should I Stop Using The Skin Ointment?

hi, this is srikanth, im bit dark before, later i used skitlite, for an year, now im looking fair and good, but now, i heard that this ointiment contains steroids, please suggest me , what to do now??? shall i stop now?? if i stop will there be any side effects?? im very much confused??

This cream is a prescription product and also should never be used for such a long time.
The cream is strictly not meant for regular use as a fairness product. It can cause skin irritation and redness because the ingredients present in this cream particularly hydroquinone and tretinoin are skin irritants.
Moreover regular use of this cream may cause acne, skin thinning and sun sensitivity because of the steroid component of this cream, Mometasone furoate.
I would suggest you to discontinue it.
Once you stop using it you might experience that your skin is a little itchy, dry and sensitive to sun. You may use a non-comedogenic moisturizer at night as well as a broad spectrum sunscreen throughout the day till your skin gets back to normal.
