Should I Be Worried About Yellowish Tongue In A Baby?

My son, who is 10 weeks old, has a yellowish tongue. From what I know thrush makes your tongue white, not yellow. Could my baby just have plaque or tarter on his tongue? He has a doctors appointment on Tuesday. Just wanted to know if this is something urgent that should be checked out right away.

hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Presence of yellow tongue, one needs to consider the possibility of jaundice as the cause or also possibility of Hyper carotenemia (excessive Vitamin A) is to be considered. There is no cause for concern.
Tartar is not known at this age.

Take Care

Best Regards
Dr Deepak
