Should I Be Concerned About Headache That Has Arisen After Hitting My Head On The Floor?
I slipped at work and fell on my arm and hit my head on the concrete floor, I didn t actually feel the impact of my head hitting (happened too fast) however it is tender to touch and 8 hours later a headache has arisen. Is this cause for concern? I am nervous to go to sleep to fall into comatose state. Am I over reacting? If I sleep tonight and go to the doctor tomorrow will I be ok? Just a small headache, no confusion or nausea.
Hello As you mentioned that you fell over the floor but before falling over floor your both arm stroke at floor ( as you mentioned in your question ) , so need not to worry because the impact of injury over head was secondary . Second point is you didn't got direct head injury by other object . So in my opinion my contusion is there ( as you are having pain , this is an indication of contusion ). Get complete rest ( over night ) and you will be alright . In my opinion this is not a cause of concern. Within 2-3 days you be fine . Still pain persists then consult a neurologist .
