Should I Be Worried About Abdominal Pain After Salpingectomy?

I just underwent a salpingectomy 5 days ago and have since had an awful burning stabbing pain in my right lower abdomen 2 inches above my incision site. I am in excruciating pain if I cough, sneeze, turn a certain way. It feels like an electric shock when it happens. Is this something I should be worrisome over?

Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic.
The pain is resulting from an inflammation (which is a process of healing) following surgery. You just need to take pain killers each time you are feeling the pain. The pain will go away with time when the inflammatory process is no more taking place.

I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you.
I wish you good health
