Should I Be Concerned For Pain On Eyelids And Severe Headache Post Eyebrow Injury?
Good Afternoon, on 02/02/2014 My Ex Husband Beat Me and He Punched Me right on My Right Eyebrow and it eventually turned into a horrible black eye and now I have a Quarter size hard ball and it is a little painful but I feel pressure on ? my eyelid and it causes Me to have severe headaches only on the right side of My head. Is this something that I should be concerned about? It has been 6 months since the incident.
Hi. I would recommend that you have this looked into. It may have been a haematoma (blood collection) after the injury that has resolved to form a cyst of some sort which is painful on pressing. Pain may be suggestive of an infection and if it has persisted for 6 months, it is best to show it to a general surgeon or an ENT specialist.
The cyst may not otherwise create a problem but if it is harbouring an infection or gets infected then it may affect your eyelid and even spread to the eye.
Do let me know if you have any other questions.
