Should I Be Concerned For Delay In Periods After Copper IUD Was Taken Out?

Hi. I had my copper IUD taken out on January 23rd because I was bleeding way to much with very heavy clots. Dr told me that my body didn t take IUD well. I was supposed to start my cycle on the 27th, but nothing yet. I bled just a lil bit for 2 days after the IUD was taken out. Should I be concerned, or is my cycle just coming at a different time since I had bled so much for the 2 weeks that I had the IUD in? Please advise.

Dear member,
Thanks for Writing to healthcare magic.
It is possible that you are having delayed cycles as there was heavy bleeding . Please do a pregnancy test.
Also take vitamin supplements so that your body recovers from the blood loss as anemic patients have irregular cycles.
