Should I Be Concerned About Swelling In The Lymph Nodes After A Tick Bite?

I removed an attached tick at clavical area 3 weeks ago. It was open sore and had red marks going up & down but has healed. I have had noticeable stiff neck on right side initially, now both sides with right neck lymph gland becomes swollen to golf ball size. It comes & goes.no noticeable fever, rash etc should I be concerned?

Hi,

Rickettsial infections may can cause lymphadenopathy. You have to observe it, if your lymph nodes are not responding to medication, increased size associated with fever rash you have to consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly. You can use capsule Doxycycline for primary prevention purpose.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
