Severe Stenosis, Grade 2 Sponylolisthesis. Suggestive Treatment?
The surgeon has told me that I have a serious stenosis L4-5 and L4-5 grade IIspondylolisthesis. The surgery would entail going through the stomach to strengthen the spine by putting brackets or whatever in the back then a few days operate on the back to complete the surgery. Needless to say I am very upset..please help with info. I am a 67 ear old woman
I am really sorry for your condition. But, I also personally think that surgery itself is the best treatment for your condition, severe spinal stenosis. You may need surgery as your doctor suggested but as it is a major surgery, co morbid associated conditions should also be taken into account and the benefits should outweigh risks.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have have any clarifications. If not, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
