Severe Pain In Left Nipple That Use To Bleed And Pus With A Lump Inside.what Could Be Done?treatment?
Hi doc, I have been to see my GP six times since january because of severe pain in my left nipple that use to bleed and pus with a lump inside. It stoped bleeding but is now paining and burning badly and the lump is bigger and he says its and abcess which needs to be surgically removed. I am waiting for approval from my medical aid for the surgery, but the burning and paining is worsening, is it really an abscess and what can I do to get it seen to urgently?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. As physical examination is very important in this case. As you mentioned in your query that your G P termed it abscess and advised surgery. Abscess has a typical features , so doctors can easily diagnose it. Now the opinion of treating doctor is very important. If you are having pain and burning sensation please get in treatment for that at the advice of your doctor. Good luck. Dr. HET
