Severe Itchy Rashes And Hives All Over Body Except Face. No Help From Creams And Steroids. Suggested Skin Biopsy. Any Ideas?

I've had a severe allergic reaction on my body for two weeks now I went to the emergency room because the itching was so awful not being able to sleep at night they gave me a cream which didn't help then I went to my primary who gave me a steroid and said to see a dermatogist I did that he gave me prednisone and said take Benedryl I did that and finshed the steroid still have the rash and hives all over my entire body except for my face and feet its mostly on my whole back back of my legs hip area between legs and stomach and chest and arms inner elbows so now they told me I should have a skin biopsy .. I'm so scared I suffer from anxiety and I'm wondering is this from an amoxicillin which I did take but never was allergic or is this from stress ?? This has never happened but I really would like to know what it is and also will the skin biopsy help me to find out ?? Please help

Just relax,,Amoxicillin may be the cause, even if you have stopped it, but it may induce late sensitivity, this could be first reason, second and most common is idiopathic urticaria, (Autoimmune response), in both of these case it takes little more time for to come around during this time you will have to be anxiety free, no emotional stress too, try second generation antihistamine "leocetrizine" and Hydroxyzine 25 mg twice a day, Hydroxyzine may cause drowsiness, take care while taking this tab. this will give you a good result, have good day.
