Severe Headaches After Exercising. History Of Migraines, Heaviness In Leg. Any Home Remedy?
I've been having some issues during exercise, have been trying to since I have a history of migraine and tension headaches and thought it might help. Mostly I have heaviness in one leg and it sort of is less responsive than my other side. I also have aggravated headaches if I get even slightly overheated when exercising, despite guzzling water...
Just wanted to see if there are some simple remedies or do I need to check with my regular doctor?
Headache is a very common problem. It can occur due to several reasons. Treatment of headache depend on its cause.
I would like to consider multiple possibilities in your case in following hierarchy:
• Stress and Anxiety disorder: specially in presence of tension headache.
• Migraine: In some persons migraine attack precipitated by exertion like exercise.
• High blood pressure: BP increases during exercise.
• Infection of teeth/ear/nasal cavity
• Visual problem
• Neurological problem: may need MRI brain
It is better to get yourself evaluated by general physician to rule out above causes and then seek consultation according to his recommendation. Till that time you can take analgesic to reduce pain.
Wish you good health and all the best.
Regards,
Dr Ashish Kumar Mittal
