Hi,

The abnormal sensations that you describe may be due to pooling of blood in the lower limbs when you suddenly stand from a sitting posture, which transiently lowers the blood supply to the brain and makes you feel faint and weak. This can be induced by some medicines, caused by dehydration or may even be a normal physiological finding. It may also be an early sign of venous insufficiency. Smoking can indirectly worsen it by causing thickening of the walls of the blood vessels. In my opinion, you should inform your doctor about this so that if required, he can run down some tests on you. Avoid standing suddenly from sitting position and make postural changes slowly. If possible, quit or at least cut down on smoking.

Hope this helps you. Best wishes.
