Scarring On Forehead. History Of Having Severe Cystic Acne On Forehead. Will Using Chemical Peel Kit Give Permanent Solution?

A few years ago, I had severe cystic acne on my forehead and now, I have some permanent scarring (no discoloration but some indentation in the skin). Lately, it has been really bothering me and making me feel self conscious to the point where I always have to cover my forehead with side bangs. The scarring is particularly noticeable in well-lit rooms and in the sun due to shadowing. I recently bought an at-home chemical peel kit (TCA 12.5%). Would this help my scarring? And can you think of anything else that would help? Preferably if it leads to permanent results.

You have developed post acne scars. Chemical peels will definitely help to some extent but home chemical peel kit is ideally not preferable as it has to be used very cautiously and may have side effects like burning and redness etc.
Secondly effect of peel may be very slow.
For such scars you may undergo procedures like subcision followed by dermaroller.
Acne scar reduction by fractional laser can also be done.
I prefer multiple approaches for treatment of acne scars.
You may consult a dermatologist for analysis of the scars and best suitable modalities acne scar reduction in your case.
