Redness In Inner Corners Of Eyes, With On And Off Burning And Irritation. Much Relief With Sleep And Non Exposure To Sun. Due To Sunlight?
Hi,
The inner corners of both my eyes have been red for about 4 to 5 days now. It is more intense in the left eye. There is also some burning and irritation some times but not all the time. I am not getting too much sleep and it went down considerably when i slept longer and stayed indoors, away from the sun. Could the sunlight be causing it?
Thanks.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Lohit K's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM. The burning and irritation may be due to dry eyes, allergy or infection. Clean your eyes 4-5 times with clean water, use sun glasses in outdoor, don't sit under fan or reduce the speed, don't expose directly to AC vent, good sleep are some of precaution. Consult your opthalmologist for examination and diagnosis. Based on the diagnosis we can manage as different cause has different treatment. Hope I answered your question. If you can tell more information with pictures we can diagnose it better. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
Regards Dr.Lohit
