What Causes Itching And Swelling On The Eyelids?

Itching, swelling, and redness on the edge of my eyelids where my eyelashes are. When you get sleep gunk in your eyes when you sleep...my eyes are doing that while I m awake and a lot heavier across my entire edge of eye lid as I sleep. Where it is kind of crusting my eye closed. My eyes are fine. No pain or sight issues. Just the skin around my eyes.

It's called blepharitis, which is actually infection in the glands, that open at your eyelids. The crust you developed is actually the infected secretion from those glands. You could use an antibiotic ointment such as ciprofloxacin to solve your problem, and also use warm compression to open up the pores, provided its blocked.
