Reddish Urine After Over Exercising. Due To Dehydration Or Kidney Problem?
I started working out today and pushed myself pretty hard. Later the same day my urine looked similar to tea in color...I didn't have a lot of fluids before I worked out. Is this just a sign of dehydration or is there a problem with my kidneys? I've noticed I've had back pains for weeks now, but they're never intense and have never increased, so I blamed it on having to stand in the same spot for hours. Is this really a sign of a kidney stone or urinary infection?
Hello, Your history suggests that probably you are severely dehydrated due to lack of oral intake and intense exercises. Take plenty of oral liquids and then see the urine colour. If it remains dark coloured, you should get an ultrasound abdomen along with urine examination done. Otherwise also, you do require a ultrasound abdomen to rule out any urinary stone, since you are having back pains for past many weeks. It is better to rule out a kidney involvement. Thanks
