Recurring Fissure, Eating Balanced Diet, Done Sitz Bath
I have fissure for last 15 months. Sometimes it feels like its healed and sometimes it comes back again. Just don t know what to do. I have a balanced diet since I found out that I had a fissure. I take all the fibre rich things n supplements including ointment. And even stiz bath but it soon comes back. I want to cure it forever. Please help
15 months is a long time to suffer from anal fissure. It is recurrent and troubles you a lot. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult a General Surgeon or a Proctologist for per-rectal examination if there is less or no pain; ano-proctoscopy. Colonoscopy should be done in all cases which are not getting well. Tests of stool and blood. A course of an antibiotic and Metronidazole help a lot. Take an additional probiotic. Have a full diet high in fiber contents. Continue Sitz bath. If all these additional measure do not help then it is best to undergo Lord's Anal dilatation under General Anesthesia. Or lateral sphincterotomy. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
