Reason For Not Sensing Taste In One Half Of The Tongue?

Hello, for the past four days I have had no taste on the left side of my tounge. For example when i drink juice it taste like water if i let it down trough the left side of my mouth. There is no visual change on the tounge. I have no other symptoms and have not been ill in any way for at least a year. As a teen i had Tonsillitis multiple times, but it stopped as i growe up. I have never had any holes in my teeths but uses mouth tobacco (snus), im male and 21 years old. Should I consult a doctor on monday or should i wait longer? Ps. Sorry for bad english, im swedish and rarely speak/ write in english.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The loss of taste sensation can be secondary depapillated tongue or anemia.
Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Get a complete hemogram done to rule out anemia. Mean while you can take iron supplements and multivitamins particularly vitamin A, B6 and B12.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
