Put On Bactraban For Being Hurt In Leg, Put Polysporin Too. Will My Blood Be Poisoned ?

My husband hurt his leg a couple of days ago. We put bactraban on it and have been putting poysporin on it too. However...now there is a red line running horizontal to the wound and one that is running diagnoally as well. I'm afraid of blood poisioning..but he says it nothing. Should we have it checked out tomorrow at emerg?

Hi,
It seems that there is some infection took place giving rise to cellulitis in the leg.
Consult your doctor and go for one course of antibiotic and you will be alright.
Continue with polysporin on the wound.
Ok and take care.
