Purplish Black Bruises In Forearm, Pain While Lifting And Bending Arms. History Of Blood Drawn From Forearm For Tspot Test. Normal?

A nurse recently drew some blood from my forearm for a Tspot test. Initially there was some slight pain near the area surrounding the needle prick. but after 2 days there are some purplish black bruises of 3cm in diameter and i feel pain when i try to lift or bend my arm. is this normal or should i see a doctor about this.

hello

Slight bruising may occur after blood withdrawal and you need not worry. You should keep a close eye though. It will go away in a few days on itself. Do not massage it in an attempt to make it disappear quickly.

If it keeps on increasing in size or if you feel increasing pain than you should visit your doctor

Regards
Dr. Gaurav
