Pregnant, Baby Have Kidney But Fluid Level Is Good. Diagnosed As Poly Cystic. What Is This?

Hi I am 36 years old and currently 34 weeks pregnant with my 5 th baby. A girl, my first. I have 4 sons. Today at the peri ontologist she said my baby had cysts on her kidneys but her fluid levels looked good. When I asked what this was she said usually poly cystic kidney disease. O my gosh. I googled it. I go back in a week, but I am scared to death. Can you tell me about this?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The polycystic ovaries are a congenital anomaly and may be associated with a compromised renal function. The degree of affection is assessed only after the birth of the baby. Normal fluid volume is suggestive of a normal renal function.
