Possibility Of HIV Transmission By Accidentally Poking The Needle Used For HIV Patient?

hi...my bf is a doctor,,,,when he was drawing blood from a hiv patient and testing something he accidentally got poked by the needle...he has given his blood for tests and has taken the drugs required....but am worried....wat are the chances of him getting infected????i can ask him but i don t wanna make him more edgy......

Thank you for query.as he has taken post exposure prophylaxis after getting prick there are very less chances of HIV infection getting transmitted .it depends on how deep the needle had penetrated.and HIV virus load in the patient site if prick.hope for good.later he may have to get test again.
