Polyp Surgery Done In February. Frequent Cough And Burning Sensation In Throat Which Is Triggering Asthma. Is The Cough Surgery Or Asthma Related?

I had polyp surgery last Feb. and have now developed a burning feeling in the back of my throat that makes me cough frequently. It feels like a very dry spot in the throat. Then I cough and my asthma gets started. It was a there a little after surgery but has gotten much worse the last 6 weeks. What is it? Is it surgery related or asthma related?

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

It might probably be due to persistent infection present. Steam inhalation, warm saline gargling and short term use of inhalation steroid spray will help.
Consult your surgeon if the symptoms persists.
Wishing you healthy life

Take care
