Persisting Swollen Glands Under The Tongue. Taking Teveten. Medication Allergy?

I have had swollen glands for 1 year now and now have another small lump near the gland and swelling in face in front of year. Specialist said it was just a blocked gland under my tongue, drink lots of water and push on gland. This was last October. It has gotten worse (as described above). Have been taking Teveten for 10 years. Could it be I have become sensitive or allergic to medication. No other serious symptoms such as fatique, loss of weight etc. I am 69 years old

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello
these seem to be enlarged salivary glands.
you were told to drink lots of water so that if there is any stone in salivary duct from where the saliva from the salivary glands reach the mouth , will get washed out easily.
Now it seems you are not getting relief out of it.
you can eat citrus foods so that the salivary flow increases and the stone which might be obstructing moves ahead.
If not relieved the ultimate treatment is surgical removal of stone if possible or the gland .
If you have enlarged glands and have pain and fever with it .you can take---
Tab. Clindamycin 300mg twice daily this will decrease the infection if present in the glands .
Tab. Chymoral forte three times a day this will help in removing the blockage .
Pain killers sos (if required)
Betadine gargle 2 tsf in half glass of water for gargle 3 times a day.

follow up after 5 days.
