Pause Between Heart Beats , Fluttering Feeling. Taking Synthroid. BP, Other Tests Normal. Suggestions?

my heart beats 3 times..pauses and then repeats..have a fluttering feeling..i take synthroid 125 for thyroid..normal blood pressure and have never had a heart problem..dr says my heart sounds great and i have had EKG before i had a colonoscopy and dr said it was really good..i am 53 year old female and never had any healthe problems..thanks jan

Hi

Sometimes pause between heart beats could be because what are known as APCs (atrial premature contractions). They may be associate with Synthyroid intake. Since you doctor has seen your EKG, I wouldn't worry much about this. You can get a EKG done when you have these symptoms and we will have the answer. Alternatively as Holter monitor can be done if the heart beats are causing much of a problem
