Pain Under Ribcage After Salpingo-oophorectomy. CT Scan Shows Dark Spots On Lungs

I had a left salpingo- oophorectomy about three weeks ago and now I m having severe pain under my left ribcage, not sure why the pain is so severe. I had a cat-scan with and without contrast 1.5 weeks ago and it showed that have some dark spots on my lungs, should I be concerned about the pain under the ribcage. Also, it hurts when I cough .

Yes, pain in left ribcage increased by cough is indicative of either inflammation in your lung sacs beneath your ribs or due to some pneumonitis in lower lungs. Both are possible post salpingo-oophorectomy. Get yourself worked up for both from a pulmonologist. Dark spots on lung fields in xray are normal. Its the white spots on lung fields that are worrisome.
