Pain under rib cage, radiating to back, low grade fever. Hurts to lie down, walk and sit up. Should I be concerned?

Hi, I am a 41 yr old female. I started having faint pains on my left side under my rib age. In the middle of the night the pains were worse and starting to radiate around to my back. Nothing relieves the pain. I m also running a low grade fever . It hurts to lie down, walk and sit up. Should I be concerned? Please help! Charger girl...

From the complaints you had described like pain the left rib cage and radiation around to the back could be due to some cardiac or upper gastrointestinal tract or some thing in the left breast. each thing could not be ruled out because the all the complaints fit to each category problems described. I suggest you to visit your local physician first and he can give you Idea of consulting specialist after ruling out any major issues.
