Pain In Upper Leg. MRI Shows Partial Tear In Abductor Cuff. Treatment?
I have been having severe pain in my right upper leg and knee that came on suddenly. The pain is not so bad if I stay off my feet but walking, sitting and standing become very painful. An MRI shows I have a partial tear in the right abductor cuff (among other problems) My pain specialists assistant says it will heal itself, however the pain has worsened.

Hi and welcome to HCM Partial tear in the abductor cuff usually get healed with conservative treatment and rest. If proper rest is not given and continuous strain given, it hampers in healing and might the cause of worsened pain. Give rest to the part. you can do a hot fomentation and apply a local analgesic gel on the area to relieve the pain. I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
