Pain In The Mid Thigh On Walking, Muscle Tightness On The Outer Thigh. Had Total Hip Replacement. What Should Be Done?

Dear Doctor, I am a 59 year old female who had total hip replacement 6 months ago, Jan.10,2012. For 7 days now I have been having pain in my mid thigh when walking. I also have muscle tightness on the outside of my thigh that is also new. Should I give it more time or should I call my doctor tomorrow? Until last week, I was walking 2 miles 4 to 5 days a week and biking.

Hi,
Thanks for query,
The sudden pain after 6 months of hip replacement in so much active women needs attention.
I think you should call your doctor as this pain might be your implant related.
Thanks.
