Pain In Right Hand, Fingers, Numbness. Can Merina Birth Control Be The Cause?
have problem with my right hand when I am trying to sleep. It is like it goes to sleep in my pointer and middle finger and some in my thumb . Nothing I do can wake it up and it will lessen at times just to increase a moment later. Pain is especially in the front of the fingers down the bones and it is extremely painful and goes on for long amounts of time. I was wondering if my merina birth control may be the cause. I have had it in for about 15 months and this problem has been going on for several months at least and is getting worse all the time.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. Mirena birth control is not likely to cause the pain and numbness in your fingers. This is more likely to be related to a vitamin B 12 deficiency or an electrolyte imbalance. Taking proper supplements will help in reducing the symptoms. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
