My daughter age 30 went to get a blood test yesterday. The person drawing blood poked her 3 times causing my daughter to faint. She never had that happen before. They talked her into having someone else try to get blood. It was done easily. My daughter complained all day and night I had her take advil She woke me up the pain in her hand woke her she says the pain is like a 7 out of ten. It shoots into her index finger. Should I take her to the ER?

Hello.Having pain after a complicated drawing blood is normal.
The hematoma or inflammation cause pain, even the person may have tingling in the hands secondary to mild nerve compression.
I treat my patients with Diclofenac 50 mg thrice a day+Heparin gel twice a day when pain after drawing blood is the diagnosis.Symptoms usually disappear I within a week. Please consult your local doctor for a prescription.
I wish you good health.
