Pain and swelling in ankle, done X-ray found bone cysts. Have OA, RA and psoriatic arthritis. Suggestion?

I have OA, RA, and psoriatic arthritis . 31 year ago I broke my leg in 3 places skiing and I am having alot of pain and swelling in my ankle, after taking some X-rays the doctor thinks he saw a bone cyst and sent me for a MRI tonight. A bit concerned what that could be about. Waiting for results is hard. Any ideas what might be going on.

Thanks for writing to us.
A bone cyst in the area of ankle can be a benign bone swelling. It is usually associated with pathological fractures. An MRI scan will help in studying the lesion in detail to comment on its nature. You will have to wait for MRI results to know.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
