Out Of Etosys And Etham Sylate Which Is Effective In Solving Menstrual Problems?

I m a women of age 46 suffering from mensural problems. My weight is around 70kg. I m bearing heavy flow since 10 days. Earlier I was advised DUB-5 medicine; I took 3 tablets for first 2 days, then 2 tablets on the 7th day. Feeling helpless I contacted another doctor. He advised me for Etosys. My question is: -Is it helpful? I have taken it regularly for 2 days and cannot feel any change. -Which is better? Etosys or Etham Sylate Please help me with this.

Hi,

Etosys is a combination of two drugs Ethamsylate and Tranexamic acid. Ethamsylate stops the bleeding by increasing the capability of platelets to stick together and hence, forming clots at the site of bleeding where as Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic agent which stops bleeding by preventing the breakdown of clots. In my opinion, Etosys is a better option than Ethamsylate as Etosys controls bleeding by both pathways and hence, increasing effectiveness.
