On And Off Itching, Irritation And Acne All Over Face After Using Supatret C, Picon Cream. History Of Acne On Cheeks, Chin And Lips. Right Treatment?

hi, for past 6 month i m getting acne on cheeks and areas between chin and lips . It has been on and off. I always had very clear skin. this is happening since jan this yr. My doc prescribed Supatret c for night and Picon cream for morning to be applied on alternate days for next 3 months. Immediately after 1 day i have acne on all over my face. i have small red spots in patches .its been 3-4 days nowand Its itching and irritating a lot. sometimes i feel burning thing on my face in those affected area. My doc had told me at the time of prescbring only that first the whole thing wil come over and the it wil all go away. I m worried, is he giving me rite treatment. what i had earlier was in just small area and it use to go away in 3 days. Now i feel irritation everywhere on my face.

Hi,

You are having acne vulgaris...

And your doctor prescribed supatret c cream, which contains retinoic acid.

I think you have got irritant contact dermatitis due to supatret. So, you stop to apply it.

I would like to suggest that you take oral azithromycine 500 mg thrice a week for long time till you get benefit.

Apply nadifloxacin cream till redness and irritation disappear. Then , you may apply only clindamycine gel on lesions at night.

Wash the face with mild antiseptic cleanser.

Avoid stress and worries.

Avoid oily food and milk.
