On Premarin For Long Time After Hysterectormy. Off The Hormone For Some Days. Are There Any Health Risks Staying Off The Hormone ?
I am 65 years old and have been taking Premarin for 25 years after a complete hysterectormy. I have been off the hormone about 5 months now. Feeling o.k. but not as good. Are there any health risks staying off the hormone for the rest of my life? I have no Breast cancer in my family. I am having some hot sweats and not sleeping well. I am thinking about going back on, just to feel better. What is the best thing to do for my Health?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Premarine is an estrogen hormone. Since you were having this from last 25 years. Just you have stopped so naturally a withdrawal symptoms develops. Hot lushes ( sweating) and feeling of unwell are due to withdrawal. In my opinion , since 5 months passed , hence there is no need to start again. As you are healthy ,so why , start again. Good luck.
