dear friend.

thanks for sharing your concern.

donot be worried at all..i would suggest you some measures to maintain good oral hygiene that will definitely help you if not an immediate cure.

first of all donot be apprehensive at all. no dental problem is that big which can kill you within few hours like in case of cardic arrest,or brain damage.

but still you have to be careful because in longer run yes definitely it can lead to many other problems.

1.do warm saline rinse 3 to 4 times in a day. brushing after each meal and then rinsing with chlorhexidine 2% will reduce your problem.

after that many charity dental camps are arranged in which you can get your treatment done.please find them and visit.

i am sure your dental health will improve.

for pain take tab combiflam 500 mg every six hourly.

thanks

Hello,

Periodontal diseases arise due to-

Poor oral hygiene maintenance

weak bone supporting teeth

systemic diseases associated like diabetes,epilepsy,hypertension.

Please do get an ultrasound scaling done.

Brush your teeth twice daily in back-forth and up-down motion.

Avoid vigorous brushing and always use soft-bristled toothbrush.

Rinse your mouth after every meals.
Hope this helps.

hello ,

Periodontal disease arises due to several reasons , most common reason is poor oral hygiene , deposition of bacterial plaqu and calculus deep in the gum pocket and root surfaces of teeth .
accumultion of granulation tissue and infected debris in the gum pockets that leads to gingival recession and bone loss .
Medical reasons like DIABETES , THYROID problems also contribute in periodontal diseases.
Dont worry dental problems can be managed effectively with proper treatment , there is no risk of emergencies or life thretening.
i would suggest you to get an OPG radiograph done , which will show the periodontal health accordingly treatment can be carried out by a periodontist.
meantime you can use antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine for oral rinsing which helps in prevention of infection.
apply metrogyl oral ointment topically over the gums .

i hope this helps,

take care.

Hi,
Thanks for asking the query,

Periodontal diseases mainly cause due to poor oral hygiene. plague and calculus deposit on the tooth surface develops into gingivitis , periodontitis . in periodontitis gums spell away teeth to form spaces called pockets .

It includes swollen gums, residing gums, sensitive teeth and loose teeth.
Smoking , hormonal changes, diabetes add to periodontal problems.

Scaling and root planing is first step in addressing periodontal problems

Take an x-ray to see whether there is bone loss.

Use 0.2% chlorhexidine mouthwash solution.

Brush teeth daily with a soft bristle tooth brush.

You can apply dologel oral ointment topically over gums.

Regards.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,
In periodontitis, gums pull away from the teeth and form spaces (called “pockets”) that become infected.
The main goal of treatment is to control the infection. The number and types of treatment will vary, depending on the extent of the gum disease. Any type of treatment requires that the patient keep up good daily care at home.
remove the plaque through a deep-cleaning method called scaling and root planing.
*Brush your teeth twice a day (with a fluoride toothpaste).
*Floss regularly to remove plaque from between teeth.
*Visit the dentist routinely for a check-up and professional cleaning.
*Don’t smoke
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful
