1. also called as trans vaginal mesh and is used for urogynecologic procedures, to repair pelvic organ prolapse (POP) or stress urinary incontinence (SUI).
2. the most common side effect of trans vaginal mesh include: pain [in her case] along with infection, urinary problem, bleeding and mesh erosion
3. you need to see a urogynecologist who will attempt for revision surgery. [as the mesh is known to shrink postoperatively, causing pain]
4. It can take three or more revision surgeries to remove it completely. [because removal of the pieces of mesh that have fused with nearby organs and tissue is time consuming, painful and difficult and above all requires a skilled surgeon]

PS
. Because transvaginal mesh is considered a permanent implant, surgery to remove the mesh can be difficult and may increase a woman’s risk of additional complications or symptoms.
. After suffering from incapacitating pelvic pain, undergoing several surgeries to repair the problems and spending thousands of dollars on recovery, many women and their families are filing transvaginal lawsuits which is a FDA’s approval system for medical devices.
